Motorcyclist Dies in New Bedford Crash
A motorcyclist has died following a crash in New Bedford on Friday night. The incident occurred around 9:55 p.m. at the intersection of Walnut Street and South Sixth Street, according to the Bristol County District Attorney's Office.
The motorcyclist, identified as 21-year-old Anthony Navarro Rodriguez from New Bedford, sustained significant injuries and was initially taken to a local hospital. He was later flown to another facility for treatment of life-threatening injuries and was pronounced dead on Saturday.
At the scene, police found a heavily damaged motorcycle and a Saturn sedan. The driver of the Saturn remained at the scene and cooperated with law enforcement.
Authorities have confirmed that the crash is still under investigation.
