MONTICELLO, MN — A fatal four-vehicle crash occurred on Interstate 94 Wednesday night, resulting in one death and several injuries.
At approximately 7:20 p.m., a Chevrolet Traverse, Ford F350, Ford Focus, and Freightliner Cascadia were traveling eastbound on I-94 when a rear-end collision took place, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
The crash resulted in the death of a passenger in the Chevrolet Traverse, identified as 69-year-old Susan Rintoul from Minot, ND. Officials confirmed she was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the incident.
The driver of the Chevrolet Traverse sustained non-life-threatening injuries, while the drivers of the Ford F350 and Ford Focus were also taken to local hospitals for treatment, according to authorities.
Traffic on I-94 was impacted due to the crash, but road conditions returned to normal shortly thereafter. The Minnesota State Patrol is currently investigating the incident.
