MARYSVILLE, Ohio — A two-vehicle crash May 16 in Bokescreek Township led to the May 26 death of Madison Andrews, 23, authorities said.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Andrews was driving a 2019 Pilot on County Road 26 near County Road 124 when a 2023 Peterbilt semi driven by Calvin Isaiah Ruffin, 45, of Cincinnati failed to yield at a stop sign and struck her vehicle.

Ruffin was arraigned Tuesday on misdemeanor charges, including vehicular manslaughter, pleaded not guilty, and was released on bond, authorities said.

His next court date is Sept. 21. The case remains pending. Ruffin is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
