Man Dies Nearly Two Weeks After Crash on Taylorsville Road
LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A man has died following a crash on Taylorsville Road on August 11.
According to police, the collision occurred at approximately 2:30 p.m. near the intersection with Bardstown Road in the Highlands area. A woman stopped her vehicle on eastbound Taylorsville Road to turn left into a business. As she crossed the westbound lanes, she struck another vehicle traveling in the inside lanes.
The Louisville Metro Police Department (LMPD) reported that both the driver and passenger in the struck vehicle were transported to UofL Hospital with serious injuries. On Monday, hospital officials informed the coroner's office that one of the men had died; his identity has not yet been released.
The surviving passenger is recovering, while the woman involved in the crash declined medical assistance. The LMPD's Traffic Unit is investigating the incident, and no charges have been filed at this time.
