Fatal Collision on I-40 in Faulkner County Leaves One Dead
FAULKNER COUNTY, AR — A crash on Interstate 40 eastbound at Mile Marker 110 resulted in one fatality on October 25 at approximately 2:41 p.m.
According to the Arkansas State Police, the incident involved two passenger vehicles. One driver, a 34-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene. A second driver, a 28-year-old woman, sustained minor injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital.
Emergency response teams, including local fire and medical units, quickly arrived to assist. Two lanes of the eastbound I-40 were temporarily closed for about two hours while the scene was cleared and an investigation was conducted.
Authorities are continuing to investigate the cause of the collision. No charges have been filed at this time.
This incident marks the second fatal accident on the stretch of I-40 in a month, raising concerns about traffic safety in the area.
