VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — A man died in a single-vehicle crash on Saturday evening, according to Virginia Beach police.
At approximately 5:41 p.m., police responded to the incident in the 1400 Block of Lynnhaven Parkway. Authorities found 32-year-old Maalik Wilson deceased at the scene, while a child passenger was transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Preliminary investigations indicate Wilson's vehicle was traveling eastbound on Lynnhaven Parkway before veering off the road and colliding with a tree.
The crash is currently under investigation, according to police.
