LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. (WHP) — A 49-year-old man was charged with DUI after losing control of his vehicle early April 15 in Ephrata Township.

The incident occurred at approximately 12:13 a.m. on East Main Street. Christopher Ulrich was driving a Wrangler when he struck a crossing sign and crossed the center median. Following the collision, the vehicle caught fire.

According to police, Ulrich showed signs of impairment but suffered no injuries. A breath test allegedly revealed a blood alcohol concentration of .168%, exceeding Pennsylvania's legal limit.

Ulrich was charged with two DUI misdemeanors and cited for three traffic offenses. He is currently awaiting his preliminary arraignment.
