JEROME COUNTY, Idaho — A motorcyclist suffered critical injuries in a crash involving a pickup truck on Saturday afternoon.
At 3:41 p.m., a 2024 Dodge Ram traveling northbound on 100 East struck a 2000 Harley-Davidson motorcycle heading westbound on 200 South, according to the Idaho State Police (ISP).
The pickup, driven by a 49-year-old Jerome man, did not sustain injuries. The motorcyclist, identified as a 57-year-old Jerome man, was not wearing a helmet and was airlifted to the hospital with critical injuries.
Authorities confirmed that the pickup driver was wearing a seatbelt and was unharmed in the collision. Emergency response included the Jerome County Sheriff's Office, Jerome City Police Department, Jerome Fire Department, Magic Valley Paramedics, and Air St. Luke's EMS.
The intersection at 100 East and 200 South was closed for approximately three hours as crews worked to clear the scene. ISP is continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
