A four-vehicle crash left one dead and two injured in Cole County on Sunday.

The incident occurred at 3:15 p.m. on U.S. Highway 50 near Route E, approximately five miles east of Jefferson City, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Authorities reported that a 58-year-old woman lost control of her vehicle, leading to a chain reaction involving three other vehicles.

The woman was at the scene, while two other drivers sustained moderate injuries and were transported to local hospitals.
