The Missouri Department of Transportation confirmed that the crash was cleared at 6:45 p.m., and all lanes have reopened.

A crash closed a section of Interstate 70 in Boone County on Friday evening.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol Troop F, westbound I-70 is closed at mile marker 119.2 due to a collision involving an intoxicated driver.

Traffic is being diverted to U.S. Route 40 at Midway Exit 121.

Authorities estimate the closure will last approximately two hours.

Motorists are advised to seek alternate routes.
