BOISE COUNTY — One man was airlifted to the hospital following a two-vehicle crash that occurred on SH-21 Saturday afternoon.
According to Idaho State Police, the incident took place at 12:19 p.m. near milepost 31. A 27-year-old male motorcyclist from Idaho City was traveling southbound on an orange 2025 KTM 390 when he collided with the rear of a blue Ford Bronco, also southbound.
The motorcyclist, a member of the Boise City Search and Rescue unit, sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to the hospital. Authorities confirmed he was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. The Bronco driver, a 46-year-old male from Medford, Oregon, was wearing a seatbelt and did not require medical transport.
SH-21 was closed for 24 minutes as emergency crews handled the situation. The Idaho City Police Department, Boise County Search and Rescue, and Air St. Luke's provided assistance at the scene.
The investigation remains ongoing.
