PORTAGE, Wis. — A collision involving three semitrailers temporarily halted traffic on all westbound lanes of Interstate 90/94 near Portage on Monday. The incident occurred at approximately 11:45 a.m. at Wisconsin Highway 33, as reported by the Wisconsin State Patrol.
One individual sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a hospital for treatment. Authorities noted that two of the trucks had been decelerating in preparation for a work zone when the third truck failed to slow down, leading to a rear-end collision. This impact pushed one of the trucks into another.
The resulting closure of the highways lasted for over two hours, but by around 2:15 p.m., all lanes were reopened and traffic resumed as normal.
