Grandmother critically injured, child hospitalized after rollover crash

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Two people, including a child, were after a two-vehicle crash near the Shiloh Crossing apartments on Cleveland Avenue, authorities said.

Emergency crews responded to 3170 Cleveland Ave. for reports of a crash. Authorities did not immediately release the time of the incident.

According to the Columbus Division of Fire, a driver traveled through the intersection at high speed and collided head-on with a parked vehicle containing a grandmother and a young child.

Authorities said the impact overturned one vehicle.

The grandmother was transported to a local hospital in critical condition. The child was taken to a hospital in stable condition, according to the Columbus Division of Police.

Authorities said the driver who struck the parked was uninjured.

Columbus police taped off the intersection as investigators worked to determine the cause. All fire companies have cleared the scene.
