Florida woman revived by deputies after being found unresponsive behind the wheel following a highway crash.

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. (CBS12) — A life-saving rescue took place Wednesday when deputies found an unconscious driver on I-4.

Deputies with the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office responded to a crash scene around 2:41 p.m. Witnesses directed them to a woman slumped over the steering wheel of her vehicle. Authorities confirmed she was not breathing and lacked a pulse.

A second deputy quickly arrived to assist in the rescue. They removed the woman from the vehicle and initiated CPR. One deputy deployed a defibrillator while both provided emergency medical care.

CPR and life-saving measures continued until Fire Rescue crews arrived to take over. The woman was subsequently transported to a nearby hospital, where she is now reported in stable condition.
