Duncanville Crash Claims Three Lives, Including Child; Investigation Underway

DUNCANVILLE, TX—Three people, including a child, were killed in a crash on West Wheatland Road Monday night, authorities said.

Police responded around 8:45 p.m. to the intersection of West Wheatland Road and South Cedar Ridge Drive, finding two vehicles involved: a white 300 and a gray Corolla. The Corolla was carrying two adult women and two juvenile males.

Despite life-saving measures, the two women were at the scene. One of the juveniles died later at a hospital, while the other remains in critical but stable condition. The driver escaped major injuries.

According to investigators, evidence and witness statements suggest the crash was caused by illegal street racing. Both racing vehicles were traveling west on Wheatland Road when one collided with the Corolla.

Duncanville Police Chief Matthew Stogner confirmed the victims' ages: the women were 50 and 78 years old, and the deceased juvenile was 12. Two adult men are in custody related to the incident, with charges pending on multiple felony offenses. Their identities have not been disclosed.

The names of the victims will be released once family notifications are complete. Road closures were in effect for several hours as the scene was processed. The Duncanville Police Department's Traffic Unit and Criminal Investigations Division are actively investigating.

Anyone with information about the crash is urged to contact Officer Luna at 972-707-3854 or the Criminal Investigations Division at 972-780-5037.
