Brighton Crash Results in Serious Injuries and Fatality

BRIGHTON, CO — A involving a wrong-way driver early Tuesday morning left a woman seriously injured and resulted in the death of the male driver.

The crash occurred just before 4 a.m. at the intersection of Mt. Bierstadt and East Bridge streets. According to authorities, a 47-year-old man was driving his truck eastbound in the westbound lanes when he collided with another vehicle. Police reported that alcohol may have been a factor in the incident.

The male driver sustained serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital, where he later died. The female driver involved, whose identity has not been released, was also taken to the hospital with serious injuries. No updates on her condition have been provided.
