LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — A vehicle crash at a Clark County School District bus yard on Monday led to a power outage at the site.
The incident occurred at the Arville Bus Yard, located at 4499 Arville Street. Authorities said a vehicle not affiliated with the district struck a transformer, disrupting power to maintenance and transportation operations.
According to NV Energy, crews responded to the outage, which was de-energized at CCSD's request. “Power will remain off, where necessary, until repairs can be safely completed,” a CCSD spokesperson stated.
Despite the outage, CCSD confirmed that buses continue to operate from the Arville Yard. Maintenance staff have been reassigned to other service yards, while administrative personnel are positioned elsewhere to communicate with drivers.
Service restoration is anticipated as early as Tuesday, according to district officials.
