WRIGHT TOWNSHIP, Mich. — A motorcyclist sustained critical injuries in a collision with a bus on July 3.
The incident occurred at approximately 10:21 a.m. at the intersection of 8th Avenue and Roosevelt Street, according to the Ottawa County Sheriff's Office.
Authorities reported that the bus, traveling west on Roosevelt Street, stopped at the intersection. As the driver attempted to cross 8th Avenue, he pulled in front of a southbound motorcycle, resulting in a severe crash.
The motorcyclist, a 22-year-old male from Coopersville, suffered life-threatening injuries and was transported to a Grand Rapids hospital in critical condition.
Deputies closed the intersection for evidence collection as part of the ongoing investigation into the crash.
