Fatal Crash Claims Life of 15-Year-Old in Durham
DURHAM, NC—A fatal crash occurred on Monday, October 2, 2023, at approximately 2:41 p.m. on Highway 70 East, resulting in the death of a 15-year-old boy.
Authorities reported that two vehicles were involved in the incident. The teenage victim was transported to a local hospital but succumbed to his injuries shortly after arrival. The other driver sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was treated at the scene.
Emergency responders from the Durham Fire Department and the Durham County EMS arrived to assist. The North Carolina State Highway Patrol is conducting an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
