BARNSTABLE, MA—A Cape Cod Regional Transit Authority bus crashed Thursday in Osterville, sending six individuals to the hospital.
At approximately 1 p.m., the bus veered off Main Street after the driver reportedly experienced a medical emergency, crashing through a fence and into a wooded area, authorities said.
Nine individuals were on board, including the driver. Five passengers were evacuated through an emergency window and transported to Cape Cod Hospital with injuries that are not life-threatening. The driver's condition remains unclear.
Main Street was temporarily closed due to the incident but has since reopened. The Barnstable Police Department is conducting an investigation into the crash.
