Authorities Seek Public Assistance in Wellfleet Investigation

WELLFLEET, MA — Authorities are continuing their investigation into the hit-and-run death of Army veteran Timothy Duval Jr., who was struck on May 25, 2025.

Duval, 24, of Tallahassee, Florida, was found on Ocean View Drive near Long Pond Road around 11:37 p.m. He was part of a group of friends but became separated moments before the incident. According to police, the vehicle involved was likely a pickup truck or with front-end damage and left the scene.

The Wellfleet Police Department and the Cape & Islands District Attorney's Office are leading the investigation. They have interviewed multiple witnesses and conducted court-authorized searches on several vehicles, as of Friday. No charges have been filed against any individuals.
