A Callaway County woman was taken into custody on Tuesday following a series of vehicle collisions on State Road UU.
According to the Callaway County Sheriff's Office, 33-year-old Ciera Conatser allegedly crashed into a victim's vehicle intentionally. The victim remained on the phone with emergency dispatch, providing real-time updates on Conatser's location.
Deputies located Conatser's vehicle at a stop sign in Fulton, with the victim's vehicle behind hers. Authorities said Conatser was observed rapidly reversing into the victim's truck.
After a struggle, law enforcement took Conatser into custody and placed her in a patrol vehicle. In a post-Miranda interview, she claimed she and the victim were arguing about allegations of infidelity.
Conatser stated that the two had driven together to retrieve her car and that she intentionally rammed the victim's truck while being followed.
Court documents indicate that the victim corroborated Conatser's version of events but added that Conatser had assaulted them prior to the incidents. The victim reported that Conatser chased them in her vehicle and struck their truck multiple times.
Investigators recovered a breath sample from Conatser, revealing a blood alcohol content of .103%. She faces charges including First-Degree Property Damage, Resisting Arrest for a Felony, Fourth-Degree Domestic Assault, and three counts of First-Degree Domestic Assault.
Conatser has been booked into the Callaway County Jail without bond. The investigation remains ongoing.
