Fatal Motorcycle Crash Halts Traffic on Washington Street in Auburn
AUBURN, ME—A motorcycle accident in the southbound lane of Washington Street near Miami Avenue resulted in one fatality Wednesday morning.
Emergency responders, including the AUBURN POLICE and FIRE DEPARTMENTS, arrived on the scene shortly after 8:00 a.m. The southbound lane is expected to remain closed for several hours, with northbound traffic reduced to one lane. A detour is in place to divert southbound vehicles onto Washington Street north and back south via Miami Avenue, according to authorities.
