ELMORE CITY, Okla. – A two-vehicle crash Saturday night resulted in the death of a 73-year-old woman and injuries to another driver, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
The accident occurred just before 8:45 p.m. on State Highway 29, approximately 2.5 miles east of Elmore City. Authorities reported that Phyllis Hensley, 73, was driving westbound when her vehicle crossed into oncoming traffic and struck another car.
The second driver, an 83-year-old man, was transported to a local hospital for treatment. His current condition has not been disclosed by authorities.
Hensley was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol is continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
