Simsbury Man Dies After Vehicle Crash
A 44-year-old man, identified as Colin Stephenson, died following a vehicle crash in Simsbury early Tuesday morning.
According to the Simsbury Police Department, officers received a call at 8:04 a.m. reporting that Stephenson had not returned home the previous night. Upon investigation, police determined that he had been involved in a crash on Overlook Terrace, near Bushy Hill Road.
Police found Stephenson trapped in the vehicle, which had left the roadway and come to rest in a wooded area. Emergency responders extricated him from the wreckage and transported him to St. Francis Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
Authorities confirmed that Stephenson was the sole occupant of the vehicle at the time of the accident. The Simsbury Police are continuing their investigation and are asking anyone with information about the incident to contact them at (860) 658-3100.
