LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — A motorcyclist died in a crash Monday morning in the southeast valley.
The incident occurred around 7:10 a.m. at South Pecos Road and East Russell Road, according to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD). A 2025 Indian Scout Bobber was traveling south on Pecos, approaching Russell with a green light, while a 2005 Hyundai Santa Fe was stopped at a red light on northbound Pecos, preparing to turn left onto Russell.
As the Hyundai turned left on a red signal, it collided with the motorcycle. Authorities confirmed the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Hyundai showed no signs of impairment.
This incident marks the 57th traffic-related fatality under LVMPD jurisdiction for 2026. The investigation is ongoing, and no further details were immediately available.
