MANCHESTER, N.H. — A 31-year-old man died Wednesday afternoon in a collision between his e-bike and a dump truck on South Mammoth Road.

Matthew Shattuck was at the scene, according to authorities. The driver of the dump truck, a 60-year-old man from Manchester, was not injured.

This incident marks a tragic chapter for the Shattuck family, as Matthew's brother, Michael, was killed in a separate crash in Manchester in 2023. Michael was 32 at the time of his death.

Authorities reported that Michael was a passenger when his fiancée, Ailadi Abreu, lost control of their vehicle after exiting Interstate 293. Abreu was later convicted of negligent homicide.

Brad Shattuck, Matthew's father, said his son had stopped at a CVS around 12:30 p.m. before heading home when the accident occurred.

“This is indescribable pain,” Brad Shattuck stated, mourning the loss of both sons. The family plans to create a GoFundMe to help cover funeral expenses for Matthew.

Manchester police continue to investigate the collision, but no further details are available at this time.
