JACKSON COUNTY, Ind. — A 26-year-old woman died in a single-vehicle crash Monday afternoon after losing control of her car, according to authorities.
Emergency responders received a 911 call about the incident on Country Road 225 North at approximately 2:18 p.m. The driver, identified as Angel Grider, was traveling westbound when she reportedly lost control of the vehicle, which then veered off the roadway and rolled multiple times into a field.
Authorities stated Grider was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle during the crash. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Initial investigations indicate that “aggressive, high-speed driving” led to her loss of control. The crash remains under investigation by the Jackson County Sheriff's Department.
