Driver Dies in Single-Vehicle Crash in Windham Swamp
WINDHAM, NH—A driver was killed after being ejected from his vehicle in a crash on North Lowell Road on Sunday morning.
The incident occurred around 10:46 a.m. when first responders received reports of a crash, according to the Windham Fire Department. Authorities located the heavily damaged vehicle in a swampy area, where the male occupant was found in cardiac arrest after being ejected from the car.
Emergency personnel attempted life-saving measures, but the driver was pronounced dead at the scene, officials said. No other individuals were involved in the crash.
Windham and Derry police are investigating the circumstances of the incident. North Lowell Road has been closed to facilitate the investigation.
Windham is located just north of Methuen, near the Massachusetts border.
