HANFORD, Calif. (FOX26) — An injured Hanford Police Officer was escorted home by his chief and fellow officers after being released from the hospital on August 15.
The officer was airlifted to Community Regional Medical Center (CRMC) following a motorcycle accident while responding to another traffic incident. Authorities reported that a truck pulled in front of him, causing him to be ejected from his motorcycle.
The officer spent several days receiving treatment in intensive care, including surgery and physical rehabilitation. Upon his release, he was met with a surprise gathering that included his wife, daughter, police chief, and fellow officers, all present to support his return home.
The accident is under investigation. Further details regarding road closures or other vehicles involved have not been confirmed at this time.
