ETHAN, S.D. — A 46-year-old man died in a single-vehicle crash on private property south of Mitchell Tuesday evening.
At approximately 7:20 p.m., according to Davison County Sheriff Steve Harr, the victim was driving a 2012 Dodge Ram when the accident occurred near the intersection of 407th Avenue and 263rd Street.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene, confirmed authorities. There were no other passengers in the vehicle. The circumstances surrounding the use of a seat belt are currently under investigation.
The Davison County Sheriff's Office is leading the investigation, with assistance from the South Dakota Highway Patrol, Ethan Fire Department, and Mitchell EMS. No further details have been released regarding the crash.
