HONOLULU (Island News) – A four-car accident on the Moanalua Freeway resulted in one fatality and multiple injuries on Friday afternoon.
Authorities reported that the collision occurred around 3:15 p.m. Five individuals were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. The deceased was identified as a 24-year-old man.
Emergency response teams from the Honolulu Fire Department and Honolulu Emergency Medical Services arrived at the scene and provided medical aid. The accident led to lane closures as crews worked to clear the area.
Police are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash. According to HPD, speed, alcohol, and drug use are not suspected factors at this time.
