One Dead, One Injured in Collision Near Highway 2 in Coram
CORAM, Mont. — A fatal crash occurred near mile marker 146 on June 3 at 11:55 a.m., resulting in one death and one injury.
According to the Montana Highway Patrol, a Subaru Outback was turning left onto Highway 2 from a convenience store when it was struck by a westbound Toyota Tacoma in the inside lane. The Tacoma T-boned the Outback.
The driver of the Outback, a 74-year-old woman from Coram, was pronounced dead at the scene. The 19-year-old female driver of the Tacoma, also from Coram, sustained injuries and was transported to Logan Health Kalispell.
Authorities reported that drugs, alcohol, and speed are not suspected factors in the crash. The investigation is ongoing.
