MISSOULA, Mont. — One person died following a crash on May 30 at 1:33 p.m. near Condon in Missoula County.
A Nissan Murano was traveling northbound on Highway 83 when it veered off the right side, striking a reflector post. According to authorities, the vehicle traveled over 200 feet in the ditch before overcorrecting and reentering the roadway.
The Murano subsequently slid sideways across the road, veering off the left side before colliding with a traffic sign and entering the ditch, where it overturned.
The left rear passenger, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected from the vehicle. The two other passengers were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash.
Authorities stated that speed, alcohol, and drugs are not suspected factors. Road conditions were reported as wet during the incident.
