COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX) — A motorcyclist died following a collision with a car in east Columbus on Monday.
According to police, Mitchell Jacobs, 55, was riding his motorcycle when he collided with a Volkswagen Passat in the 1800 block of East Livingston Avenue, near Rhoads Avenue, just before noon.
Authorities reported that both vehicles were traveling west on Livingston Avenue when the Passat attempted to make a right turn, leading to the crash.
Jacobs was transported to Grant Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries shortly thereafter.
The driver of the Passat was unharmed and remained at the scene. The incident is under investigation by local authorities.
