Police request public assistance in deadly hit-and-run crash investigation in Muskegon Heights.

MUSKEGON HEIGHTS, Mich. — Authorities are seeking the public's assistance in locating a driver involved in a crash that occurred on March 13.

First responders were dispatched to Hackley Avenue and Reynolds Street shortly before 9 p.m. after reports of a man lying in the roadway. Upon arrival, they discovered a 61-year-old man with severe injuries, later identified as Roger Calloway of Muskegon Heights. He was transported to Trinity Health Muskegon Hospital for treatment.

Calloway succumbed to his injuries on April 18. Family members indicated he was taken off life support at Blodgett Hospital in East Grand Rapids.

Investigators report that surveillance footage reveals Calloway was struck while crossing Hackley Avenue. The suspect vehicle is described as a smaller, silver four-door of unknown make or model. Authorities are collaborating with the Michigan State Police to enhance the video for better identification of the vehicle and driver.
