Injury in Champaign crash involving two vehicles

CHAMPAIGN — One person was injured in a two-vehicle crash on Monday at 5:13 p.m. at the intersection of North Staley Road and U.S. 150.

According to Illinois State Police, Macey Rilea, 25, of Champaign, was driving a 2010 grey Ford when she turned west onto U.S. 150, colliding with an eastbound 2011 white Jeep driven by Kacee Raymond, 23, of Mahomet.

The vehicles crashed in the intersection, resulting in non-life-threatening injuries for Rilea, who was transported to a local hospital. Rilea received a citation for at a stop/yield intersection.

Kacee Raymond and two passengers, including an unidentified child and Richard Raymond, 39, of Mahomet, were uninjured in the incident.

Authorities are investigating the crash, and no road closures were reported following the collision.
