TUSCOLA — A motorcyclist was injured Tuesday morning in a collision with an SUV on U.S. 45.
According to state police, James E. Kleiss, 66, of Tuscola, was traveling southbound in a Ford Edge when he initiated a left turn onto Northline Road. At that moment, Jeffrey E. Marker, 53, also from Tuscola, was heading northbound on U.S. 45 and struck the passenger side of Kleiss's vehicle.
Marker was ejected from his motorcycle during the impact and sustained minor injuries. He was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
Authorities reported that Kleiss was cited for failing to yield. The investigation is ongoing.
