LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 71 south sent at least six individuals to the hospital on Monday night.
The accident occurred at the 7.1 mile marker near the Barbour Lane overpass just before 10 p.m. According to the Louisville Metro Police Department (LMPD), the crash involved three vehicles.
Authorities reported that while at least six people are expected to be hospitalized, the severity of their injuries remains unclear. The cause of the crash is currently under investigation.
Emergency services have closed that section of I-71, which is expected to remain closed for at least the next hour.
