Sedan Crash Sends Seven to Hospital in St. George

A sedan with eight occupants crashed into a home in St. George around midnight Friday, resulting in seven people being .

According to the Knox County Sheriff's Office, the incident occurred at the intersection of Route 73 and Village Road. Eliza Luce, 20, of Union, was driving a Sonata when she failed to navigate a sharp curve.

A 16-year-old passenger suffered life-threatening injuries and was flown to a trauma center. Luce sustained serious injuries, while five other passengers, aged 15 to 18, were transported to the hospital with minor injuries. One occupant, Michael Sabins, 19, of Liberty, was not taken to the hospital.

Authorities indicated that both speed and potential drug and alcohol consumption are believed to have contributed to the crash. The investigation is ongoing.
