Eugene Car Crash Injures Three, Investigation Underway
EUGENE, OR — A multi-vehicle collision on I-5 southbound at mile marker 195 occurred at approximately 2:41 p.m. on April 24, 2026, resulting in three injuries.
According to the Oregon State Police, the crash involved two sedans and a pickup truck. Emergency responders, including Eugene Springfield Fire, arrived on scene to provide aid and transport the injured to PeaceHealth Sacred Heart Medical Center RiverBend.
Witnesses reported that the southbound lanes were blocked for over an hour as emergency crews worked to clear the wreckage. Authorities confirmed that two individuals sustained serious injuries, while another was treated for minor injuries. No fatalities were reported.
Tow services were called to remove the vehicles, and an investigation into the cause of the accident is ongoing. Lane closures affected traffic flow, but all lanes were reopened by 4:15 p.m.
