WHEELERSBURG, Ohio (WCHS) — A man is dead following a single-vehicle crash in Scioto County on Monday.
The incident occurred just before 1 p.m. on U.S. 52 West near the State Route 522 exit, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol. A vehicle traveling west veered off the right side of the road and collided with a guardrail.
The driver, identified as 66-year-old Patrick Wells of Maineville, was airlifted to St. Mary's Medical Center but succumbed to his injuries, authorities said.
The crash is currently under investigation.
