ABINGTON, Mass. — A father was killed in a single-car crash early Saturday morning, marking a second tragedy for the Vasselian family.
Mark Vasselian, 57, died after the vehicle he was in crashed on Route 139 around 2 a.m., according to Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy Cruz's office.
Abington Police responded to the accident, and Vasselian, a passenger in the car, was later pronounced dead from his injuries.
His son, Sgt. Daniel Vasselian, was killed in action in Afghanistan in 2013. Authorities are investigating the incident.
