Westbound I-70 in the Colorado mountains reopens following a crash.

Westbound Interstate 70 reopened Monday afternoon after a two-vehicle crash near Avon, according to state transportation officials.

The crash initially closed westbound lanes between Exit 167 for Avon and Exit 163 for Edwards. The left lane of eastbound I-70 was also temporarily shut down between the same exits, according to the Colorado Department of Transportation.

All lanes were cleared and reopened by 3 p.m. Monday. Authorities have not yet released additional information regarding injuries or the cause of the accident.
