Berkley, MA – A 63-year-old man died following a paramotor crash at Myricks Airport on Sunday morning.
The crash occurred at 9:40 a.m. when Berkley Police received a 911 call from a witness reporting the incident at the airport, located at 168 Padelford Street. Responders found a large divot in the field and discovered Gary Williams, 63, of Cranston, Rhode Island, nearby with serious injuries.
Williams was transported to a local hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries. Authorities reported that the paramotor exhibited fuel leakage and a broken propeller in multiple locations.
The Bristol County District Attorney's Office confirmed that an investigation is underway, involving state police detectives and the Berkley Police Department. Further details are not available at this time.
