A pickup truck traveling the wrong way struck three pedestrians and multiple parked motorcycles on April 3 in Cave Creek, according to the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office.

The incident occurred around 7:11 p.m. when the truck exited Harold's Corral parking lot onto Cave Creek Road in the incorrect direction, said Sheriff's Office spokesperson David Moyer.

The truck collided with three adult pedestrians and eight parked motorcycles in addition to a stopped pickup truck. The specific location of the pedestrians and vehicles is under clarification.

Authorities observed signs of alcohol impairment in the suspected driver, Moyer stated.

Two pedestrians were transported to a hospital with serious, life-threatening injuries, including head trauma and significant abdominal lacerations, according to medical personnel.

Harold's Corral was hosting events for Cave Creek Bike Week during the weekend, which had numerous attendees, Moyer added.

The investigation is ongoing, and further details will be released as they become available.
