An investigation is underway following a crash that caused a Metro to strike a restaurant in Northwest D.C. on Saturday morning.

The incident occurred at approximately 10:00 a.m. near 7th Street and Q Street, NW, when the bus was struck and subsequently collided with the AMBAR Restaurant, which was unoccupied at the time. Authorities confirmed that three adult women, including the bus driver, sustained minor injuries and were transported to local hospitals.

Emergency crews were at the scene to remove the bus, which was extracted just before noon.
