CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. — A three-car crash on northbound Interstate 95 caused significant delays on Friday around noon.
The incident occurred near Willis Road at mile marker 65.5.
According to the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT), alternating lane closures were in effect for all northbound lanes and the south left shoulder.
VDOT reported a five-mile traffic backup following the crash.
Authorities confirmed that all three drivers were transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Drivers were advised to seek alternate routes until all lanes reopened shortly before 2 p.m.
