NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — A motorcycle crash on Briley Parkway in West Nashville claimed the life of a Mt. Juliet man late Friday night, according to Metro Police.
The victim was identified as 30-year-old Nicholas Anderson. Police reported that Anderson was riding a Honda motorcycle northbound with a group shortly after 11 p.m. when he lost control in a curve and veered off the road into a ditch.
Emergency responders transported him to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead shortly thereafter.
Authorities indicated that excessive speed is believed to have contributed to the crash, but there were no signs of impairment present at the scene. The investigation remains ongoing, and no further details have been released.
