Franklin, MA— One person was flown to the hospital following a serious crash on Interstate 495 northbound at mile marker 44.2 Sunday night.
Massachusetts State Police confirmed their response to the incident, which involved a rollover crash with entrapment. Authorities confirmed that a MedFlight was called to transport the victim, who suffered traumatic injuries.
According to Franklin Firefighters Local 2637, multiple emergency resources were deployed to the scene. The medical helicopter landed directly on the highway, necessitating temporary lane closures in both directions.
As of now, it remains unclear if additional individuals were injured or what caused the crash. There is no immediate information regarding the condition of the victim.
